' I’m here to tell you that’s a lie.” Most EMS systems will say they put patients first, and then have schedules that promote fatigue; peer review QA systems that focus on providers, not patients, and measurement systems that inspire fear. During this interactive webinar, we will explore strategies to build and measure systems that are truly patient-centered. Presenters: Dr. Angelo A. Salvucci, MDDr. Angelo Salvucci is an experienced emergency medicine physician and, before retirement, served as the EMS Medical Director for Santa Barbara County, California. With more than four decades in emergency and prehospital care, he provides clinical oversight and leadership for the county’s EMS system. Dr. Salvucci is dedicated to advancing quality improvement, operational excellence, and evidence-based practices in emergency medical services. Dr. Maia Dorsett, MD, PhDDr. Maia Dorsett is an emergency medicine and EMS physician and educator. She completed her EMS fellowship at Washington University before moving to Rochester, New York, where she now serves as the medical director for EMS education at Monroe Community College, Gates Ambulance and the Associate Regional Medical Director for Education and Quality for the Monroe-Livingston Region. She is also the medical director for Prodigy EMS. Nationally, she serves on the board of the National Registry of EMTs, National Association of EMS Physicians and serves as the co-course director for the NAEMSP Quality and Safety course.
